Still Snowing

11 inches... quite a bit for west of the Cascades.

The Havre Chick is nearly buried now.

The shipyard shut down today due to the snow... so I will be playing in the snow, building a fire, shoveling snow, etc..

A Winter Wonderland

The Christmas season is upon us and we are looking forward to time spent with family and friends to celebrate Jesus's birthday this year.

We kicked of the season with a full house of Stewart, Stehmans and Chadwicks for Thanksgiving.

A fun time was had by all. The cousins especially enjoyed eachother.

Last weekend we enjoyed the Manette tree lighting celebration with our friends, the Frasers.

Aaron, Asher and I were pleased to finally have lunch with our friend and Lamaze instructer, Kris Avery. She was delighted to see us as new parents and meet our little Asher-babes.

My Little Pumpkin

One Happy Family!

Asher and I recently took a road trip to Montana. Yup, that is what I said. Just me, Asher and the road. Thankfully, I didn't take Bode, because I may have tried to give him away somwhere around Roger's Pass. The trip was challenging, wonderful and we are so thankful that it smoothly, but nobody can replace Asher's Daddy when it comes to taking care of this little one. He missed his Daddy lots and so did I.
Trick or Treat!
We spent time with Grandpa Phil, Uncle Travis, Mimi, Papa, great grandparents and many aunts and cousins.
Asher with his friend, Jack Fraser...

Checking out Jack's cool play mat together...

We visited with lots of Hi-line friends and even trick-or-treated at a few houses in Gildford. I wish we had more time to visit and enjoy the outdoors. The weather was gorgeous while we were there. It got up to at least 70 degrees one day, and the sun was out almost every day.

Grandpa Phil set up a play area in the living room at the farm complete with a ball suspended from the ceiling. Asher loved it, and loved having so much space to roll around in.

He is now mobile and I am just getting used to the idea that I need to keep things out of his reach. Pretty soon, he'll be crawling and then pulling up on things, Yikes! No, it is fun to see him do new and different things, every day. It seemed like he changed so much just on our trip to Montana. He is babbling and sputtering quite a bit now, and he is so interested in playing with practically everything.

We continue to attempt some new foods, but he doesn't seem too interested. He won't be wasting away any time soon. At is 4 month appointment he weighed in at 19 lbs, 9 oz. and 27" long, so that puts him in the 75% and 50% respectively.

I wish I had some Montana pictures to share, but unfortunately, the digital camera failed me and erased the pictures that I had taken. We did dress him up as a pumpkin for his daddy when we got home to Bremerton.

Mmm... rice cereal

Asher has tasted his first non-milk food, rice cereal. He wasn't too keen on the idea yesterday, although he did like playing with the spoon. Today, he seemed to like it. We put him in the high chair for the first time. We strapped him in using a 3 meter piece of fabric tied to the chair back. He really likes sitting at the table with Mom & Dad.
I don't know about this cereal... but the spoon is fun.

Well, maybe the cereal isn't so bad.

Where did that spoon go?

Just a couple of guys ready for a walk.

Bye for now...

He's got the look!

Hi there, everyone...
I'm sorry it has been so long since my parents have updated the blog.
It is all my fault, really. I'm so cute and entertaining that my parents have little time to be surfing the net and the like.
I'm almost 5 months old, now. It has gone really fast and my parents have kept me very busy with trips to Montana, family reunions, picnicing, hiking, and taking lots of walks with our dog, Bode, so he doesn't get too bored.
I am busy perfecting the "rollover" technique and enjoy playing with my hands. I like to put everything in my mouth. I recently discovered that my feet will reach my mouth. They have an interesting texture and flavor.

My hobbies also include breastfeeding, bathtime, and sleeping for stretches as long as six hours at night...my mom really likes that.

Don't look at me I'm trying to sleep...
This hairstyle is so last month.

Jenni, will you please tell my mom that it's still too warm for this cute hat!

Picture Day

We tried taking some family portraits in our backyard today. We went through several changes of clothes (all of us), but ended up with a couple of good pictures
