Asher seems to be adjusting to life outside the womb very nicely.

Chelsie and I have both been peed on because of my inablility to correctly install a diaper. I am learning though.

Homecoming

Asher and family came home from the hospital today.

Before we left, his hips finally relaxed enough to get a length measurement... 3.02 inches per pound or 20.4 inches.

6 pounds 12 ounces.

They were unable to measure his length because his legs are always flipping up to his face (due to his breech presentation).

Chelsie is doing well.

Twas the night before...

Tomorrow is the big day. I thought I would post the final pregnancy photos. Our baby will likely be born around 12:30.

39 inches at 39 weeks...

well, almost 39 weeks.

The version, read baby flipping, was unsuccessful. We have scheduled the birth via C-section for next Wednesday, April 23. Chelsie should be able to get out of the hospital on Friday.

We can't wait to see our little baby. We have been widdling down the name list and have a couple solid choices for both girl and boy.

Stubborn Baby

Our baby is still breech (Frank Breech to answer your query, Lilah). Chelsie is doing all she can to get the baby to turn... pelvic tilt (hips above head), handstands in pool (I held her feet), chiropractics (Webster Technique), spicy food, talking to the baby, bright lights, ice packs... and so on and so forth. Still, no somersault. We will continue our effort.

If the baby has not flipped by next Monday, our doctor will attempt an External Cephalic Version. Basically, she will try to turn the baby from the outside. It works about 2/3 of the time.

We'll let you know how things go.

Getting Closer...

We are quickly approaching the due date and are very excited. We have learned that our baby is breech and have been asking the baby to turn for us... no luck yet. Here is the latest belly photo.
