Oh boy...

...or girl! We recently had our 20 week ultrasound and decided to keep Baby Stew #2 a surprise for all. We are on track for a new little brother or sister at the end of March and we'll try to keep you all posted on our quarterly blog update. (Ha Ha!)

Aaron finally hit the BIG 30! Can you believe it?

Asher was so fortunate to host a playdate at his house a few weeks ago. Talk about a houseful of kidlets and organized chaos, so I didn't get pictures of everyone!

4 Toddlers for dinner...pretty exciting and just a little messy, but we have Bode to help with that.
Andrew and Ella
Amelia and Asher
They all had so much fun watching each other and performing for all the adults watching. It was pretty precious.

Hmm...I spy a snacktrap in most of these pictures. Those things are so handy, except that Bode knows exactly what they are. Toddler + snacktrap = more food for me!

Staying warm and dry with Daddy
We have had some fall yard cleanup to do and Asher has been jumping right in to help Daddy. He is quick to point out that safety is the number one priority. Don't forget your personal protective equipment!

Yes, we did go trick or treating and Asher made the cutest Zebra ever! Downtown Bremerton businesses were open late and there was a hayride too. Fortunately he didn't get too jazzed up on candy and was still able to sleep.

Let's see... I also had a birthday to celebrate. I was born in 1977, so you do the math. We went to a fun noodle shop in Capitol Hill to feel hip, while Aunt Beck watched Asher for the evening.

More leaves from our big maple tree...they just keep coming along with the winter rain.

Thanks for catching up with the Stewies!

Little Gardener

Here is a little snipit of Asher in all his cuteness as usual. I'm trying desperately to get one of our other videos on the blog, so this will have to tide you over for now.

Grandma Jan and 2009 Summer Update

I've missed some important events and cute pics over the summer, so I'm attempting to catch everyone up...
Asher's first kid's meal at Burgerville outside of Portland on the 4th of July. It was a fish sticks meal complete with a small pot and tomato seed to plant next year. What a fun restaurant!

Cooling off at Jamison Park in Portland's Pearl District on a hot July day.

Grandma Jan came to visit for a couple of weeks in July and August. Asher had a great time with Grandma and got pretty used to having her around.
Here they are enjoying some of this season's Rainier cherries, yum!

We enjoyed a spectacular day, hiking at Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park.

Catch ya later!

Stehman Farms 2009

Early summer on the prairie.

Milk River Valley Church where my granparents were married.
A late summer thunderstorm with some nasty hail brewing in it. It looks pretty harmless right now, but look out!

Soak up the Sun!

Soaking up that hot Seattle sun...the words sun and Seattle in the same breath is a little odd, but it's true.

We don't know what the orange thing exactly is, but they seem to like it.

On Memorial Day weekend, "The Lone Sailor" made its way to the Bremerton marina from DC and we enjoyed the harbor festival complete with marine band and a helicoptor salute.

Mimi and Papa were here!

We went to the Dungeness Spit on Sunday for some sightseeing. Take a picture. quick.

I reckon it's gonna be a great summer!
